High School Diploma / High School Equivalency
One of our top goals at San Diego Job Corps is to ensure that every qualified student obtains his or her high school diploma or high school equivalency (HSE) prior to completing the program. Students who don't already have a high school diploma upon their arrival at San Diego can enroll in one of our high school or HSE programs.
Our online high school diploma program is a self-paced curriculum that allows students the opportunity to achieve a high school diploma. This program is offered through partnerships with Penn Foster High School and SIATech Charter High School.
English Language Learning (ELL) Program
Students needing to learn English can enter our English Language Learning (ELL) program. Students in the ELL program are tested regularly to determine their language proficiency levels.
Tutoring and Academic Support
Tutoring programs are available where students are tutored in ELL, math, reading, and writing by instructors or by fellow students (Peer Student Tutors). Students interested in getting into a tutoring program may contact their instructors or the Academic Manager.
